African Philosophical and Religious Ideas on the Preservation of the Environment

Fearing the consequences of depletion and, in some sense, wanton extraction of natural resources for human use, people across the world are exploring the best means to conserve nature. This project was an attempt to contribute to the global efforts at protecting the natural environment. It investigated how religious beliefs and philosophical thoughts in the Akan culture could be harnessed to promote life-sustaining environmental practices and policies.
