Overview
The Re-invigorating Humanities Research (REHURE) project at the University of Ghana commenced on July 1, 2018, with a two-pronged approach. It encompassed seven institutional research themes spanning the Arts, Performing Arts, Languages, Humanistic Social Sciences, African Studies, and Asian and Latin American Studies. Additionally, ten innovative research projects were undertaken by individual faculty members and small teams of early and mid-career researchers.
About the programme
Over its six-year lifespan, the REHURE project has significantly impacted humanities research at the University of Ghana. It has fostered collaboration among faculty members with diverse research interests across disciplines, leading to an increase in primary research and publications within the humanities. Furthermore, the project has generated valuable data that serves as a crucial resource for student projects and future research endeavors within the humanities.
